Vegtech has done various projects, extensions and upgrades at the botanical gardens since the first project was completed many years ago.

The nursery facilities are used mostly to extend their plant material for the gardens.
The most recent extension was completed in December 2009 and included a climate controlled greenhouse with fans and an evaporative cooling system as well as a further extension that was naturally ventilated and shaded and cooled using an Aluminet™ screen. The greenhouses all have polycarbonate roofs and anti-insect nets provide protection on the sides of the greenhouses.
